As a resident of Sonoran Desert Willow Estates you are in the service area of the Rita Ranch Neighborhood Association.  The
Neighborhood Association is chartered by the City of Tucson and is not a homeowners association.

The purpose of the Rita Ranch Neighborhood Association is to:
  • Ensure and enhance the integrity of the Rita Ranch neighborhood
    (of which Desert Willow is a part).
  • Provide a vehicle for neighborhood planning where open land exists, which shall be in keeping with the character of the
    neighborhood.  This planning shall include the development of architecturally compatible buildings or other uses which
    shall enhance the lifestyle of the neighborhood.
  • Encourage non-residential facilities and land uses that are complimentary architecturally and environmentally compatible
    to the character and lifestyle of the Rita Ranch community.
  • Preserve and encourage enhancement of the Rita Ranch Purple Heart Park.
  • Establish a cooperative alliance with municipal and county authorities, commercial interests, and other associations for the
    achievement of common goals.

and it has Saturday hours.  Last pick-up for mailed items by the Post Office is 5:30 PM on weekdays.
RITA RANCH NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Inspectors are responsible for enforcing Tucson Municipal Code (TMC) Chapter16 (Neighborhood
Preservation Ordinance), TMC Chapter 15 (Refuse), and Environmental Services Rules, Procedures, and
Regulations. Over 41,000 inspections are conducted each year.  A violation of City codes and regulations
described in this brochure will initiate the following actions by an Inspector:
  • On-site inspection and a notice of violation to the property owner and/or tenant.
  • Reinspection of the property to ensure compliance.
  • Failure to correct a violation(s) may result in the City pursuing civil or criminal action. Any finding of
    responsibility or liability for violations noted shall incur fines of $100-2,500 per violation. If the City is
    ordered to abate the violations, a lien will be assessed on the property.
