Who We Are

​

We are Andrea Weitz & Miloš Buhavac, founders of Desert Willow Ranch and Rescue. We've spent the past several years taking in animals in need and rehabilitating sick, injured, and special needs dogs, cats, and horses, with a goal of eventually opening our own rescue. In 2023, we're making it a reality! In our spare time when we're not wrangling our own thirteen dogs, six cats, and five horses, we're both physicians at Texas Tech University.

 

Desert Willow's Board is a diverse group of animal lovers and experts, including veterinary and medical doctors, animal trainers, and rescue workers. We recently secured our 501c3 and are beginning our fundraising to get this organization off the ground!
