Who We Are
Andrea Weitz & Miloš Buhavac are the founders of Desert Willow Ranch and Rescue. They have spent the past several years taking in animals in need and rehabilitating sick, injured, and special needs dogs, cats, and horses, with a goal of eventually opening their own rescue. In January of 2024, this dream became a reality in Lubbock, Texas where the homeless animal population was at an all time high. Since then they have moved up to Oregon, Wisconsin where the rescue has started to grow and flourish. Desert Willow R&R is a registered 501c3.
Andrea and Milos have their own menagerie of animals including 12 dogs, 6 horses and 8 cats. They both have a deep passion for animals and work on learning positive training techniques and reading books on animals behavior. In their spare time, they are both physiacins at the University of Wisconsin.
