When Love Wins
Success Stories
These are all of our successful adoptions and their happy families. Click on each one to learn more about their journeys. It is nothing short of remarkable to see where each dog/cat came from to where they are now. Are you next?

McKenzie
McKenzie was left in an abandoned baseball park on a hot summer day. It was unclear how long she had been there when someone found her, dehydrated, barely moving and terrified. She was brought to the rescue and given what she needed, including love. She was matted and hated to be touched on her back, but after some time, she learned to trust us.
She was adopted in September 2024 and now lives happily in Greenbay, swimming in lakes and getting cuddles every night.
Rocky
Rocky was left in a kill shelter in Abilene, Texas. He had a few days left before he was schedule to be euthanized when I called looking for a different dog that was taken there (Molly, see below). The shelter worker told me that Rocky and Molly had become really good friends and would we be able to take them both, otherwise he has no chance. Rocky made his way up to us that day.
Rocky was adopted on December 2024 and now get to wear sweaters, swim in the lake and have no fear of ever having only a few days left to live.

Molly
Molly was used as target practice for a BB gun and made her escape to another farm down in Texas. A lady who lived there reached out and told me that she was hurt and can we help. I said yes, but the woman decided to send her to a shelter instead before I could pick her up. I found her (and her new boyfriend, Rocky shown above), and had her moved from the shelter up to us where we nursed her wounds.
Molly was adopted in March of 2025 and lives with her new friend Duke and her very happy family.
Burt, aka, Conrad
Burt was found with the side of his neck bitten off. The woman who found him was worried he would have to be humanely euthanized, but I told her that we can try and see if we can help him first. The amazing vets did their magic and Burt was cleaned, sutured and healed. He was adopted out in May of 2025 and now lives with his friend Pilot, a Belgian Malinoise, and his new mom. He gets to go on walks, threaten the birds through a window and sleep all day on a couch.

Olive
Olive was rescued by a kind neighbor who noticed that she lived in severe neglect. The neighbor contacted me and asked if we could help. Seeing the state of her existence, I said yes. Olive made her way up here with some previous trauma of a shock collar that was embedded in her hair on her neck and severe separation anxiety. However, she was pampered by her foster mom until she found her new home with two young ladies and their parents who spoil her rotten.
Peanut and Penelope
Peanut and Penelope were stray dogs trying to survive on the streets in Lubbock, TX. Two college girls found them and spent a month earning their trust before they were able to bring them inside. We were called for help and brought them up to Wisconsin to the rescue. They were very timid but curious about their new surroundings and eventually became cuddle monsters.
They were adopted out as a pair in August 2025 to their new parents and friends including a toad, a turtle, a ferret and a parrot.
